Tuvalu has officially become the <strong>100th country<\/strong> to join the <strong>Alliance for Transformative Action on Climate and Health (ATACH)<\/strong> \u2014 a growing global network dedicated to building <strong>climate-resilient and sustainable health systems<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the recent addition of <strong>Cook Islands, Malaysia, and Tuvalu<\/strong>, the Alliance now includes <strong>100 committed nations and over 95 partner organizations<\/strong>, all united by one goal: <strong>to protect human health from the impacts of climate change.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udf21\ufe0f Why Climate and Health Are Connected<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Climate change doesn\u2019t just affect the environment \u2014 it affects our bodies, too. Rising temperatures, extreme weather, and shifting disease patterns are placing pressure on health systems worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Countries that join ATACH commit to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Building <strong>climate-resilient health systems<\/strong> that can withstand environmental shocks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Developing <strong>low-carbon healthcare<\/strong> to reduce emissions and environmental impact.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sharing <strong>knowledge, lessons, and best practices<\/strong> with other nations to accelerate progress.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These actions are part of the broader <strong>COP26 Health Agreement<\/strong>, launched to create greener, stronger health systems for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\uddf2\ud83c\uddfe\ud83c\udf34 New Members Leading the Way<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Each of the new members brings valuable experience and determination:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Malaysia<\/strong> is focusing on sustainability and resilience as it continues to grow economically while facing environmental challenges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cook Islands<\/strong> and <strong>Tuvalu<\/strong>, as small island developing states, face some of the most direct and urgent climate risks \u2014 from rising sea levels to severe storms \u2014 and have long championed action to protect both people and the planet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83e\udd1d A Global Effort for a Healthier Future<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>World Health Organization (WHO)<\/strong> welcomes the new members and continues to encourage other countries to join the movement.
